This policy explains how the Photo Edit AI mobile app (Android package and iOS bundle com.altancorp.photoedit, the "App") handles personal data. The controller is Hecteria (Türkiye). Contact: support@hecteria.com. For help, see the support page.
1. Data we process
- Account. You can sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or continue as a guest (Google Firebase Authentication anonymous sign-in). If you sign in, we receive the account identifier and the profile details the provider shares, such as your email address and name.
- Your photos and prompts. Photos you pick from your library and the text instructions you write are uploaded to Google Firebase Storage and Cloud Firestore, linked to your account, and sent through our Firebase Cloud Functions to Google's Gemini AI models to generate the edited or new image. The generated images and your conversation with the AI are stored in your account so you can see your history.
- Credits and purchases. Your credit balance, generation records and transactions are stored in Cloud Firestore. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the App Store, and RevenueCat records purchase receipts and entitlements. We never receive your payment card details.
- Device identifier. The App creates a random device identifier, kept in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, encrypted storage on Android), and registers it with your account. We use it to link guest and signed-in accounts and to prevent abuse of free credits.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a push token that we use to send you messages and offers.
- Usage, performance and crash data. Google Firebase Analytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config and Crashlytics may process app usage events, performance measurements, device model, OS version, an installation identifier and crash details. Firebase App Check helps verify that requests come from the genuine App.
- On your device. Settings and cached data are kept on your device.
The App does not show third-party ads. We do not access your location or contacts, and we do not sell personal data.
2. Photo library access
The App asks for access to your photo library only when you choose to add a photo, and for permission to save generated images to your photo library when you save one. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Generating images, saving your history, managing credits and delivering purchases: performance of our contract with you.
- Analytics, performance, crash reporting, fraud and abuse prevention and keeping the App working: our legitimate interests.
- Push notifications and any optional features that need it: your consent where required by law.
4. AI processing and service providers
Your photos and prompts are processed by Google's Gemini models through Google Cloud. Data is also processed by Google LLC / Google Ireland (Firebase), Apple Inc. (Sign in with Apple, App Store) and RevenueCat, Inc. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). Do not upload photos of other people unless you have their permission, and do not upload content you are not allowed to share.
5. Retention
Your account data, photos, generated images, history and transaction records are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, conversations, generations, transaction records and stored files from our servers. Analytics and crash data follows Google's default retention settings. Records we must keep for legal reasons, for example purchase records held by the stores, may be kept as required.
6. Age
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete the related data.
7. Your rights and data deletion
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent.
You can delete your account and data in the App under Settings > Delete account. You can also email support@hecteria.com with the subject "Photo Edit AI data deletion". We delete within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
