Summary
Spiralday is an app with tasks, meetings, journal entries, reminders, media attachments and an AI assistant. Your data is processed for syncing, the core functions of the app, optional media use, AI features and ad display.
Data we collect
Account information
- Email address (optional, only if you sign in)
- Anonymous user ID (created even if you do not sign in)
Purpose: syncing your data across devices. Processed by Firebase Authentication (Google).
Spiralday content
- Tasks
- Meetings
- Journal entries
- Reminder settings
Purpose: providing the core function of the app. Stored in Firebase Firestore (Google), and only your own data is accessible to you.
Media
- Photos and videos you upload
Purpose: attaching media to your Spiralday entries. Stored in Firebase Storage (Google).
AI usage data
- Messages you write to the AI assistant
- Task and plan content generated by the AI
Purpose: running the AI assistant. Processed through Firebase Cloud Functions and not stored permanently. Claude (Anthropic), Grok or DeepSeek models may be used for AI processing.
Advertising data
- Ad interactions
- Device advertising ID (IDFA/GAID)
Purpose: showing ads so the app can be used for free. Processed by Google AdMob.
Data we do not collect
- Location information
- Contact lists
- Microphone or camera data (accessed only when you explicitly add media)
- Usage data from third-party apps
App permissions
All permissions are optional.
- Notifications: to send task and meeting reminders.
- Photo library: to add photos to your entries.
- Camera: to take photos for your entries.
Third-party services
- Firebase (Google): authentication, data storage, cloud functions. Privacy policy
- Google AdMob: in-app ads. Privacy policy
- Anthropic (Claude AI): AI assistant feature. Privacy policy
Retention and deletion
- Account data is kept until the account is deleted.
- Anonymous data is deleted automatically after 90 days without active use.
- AI messages are not kept on the server after processing is complete.
You can permanently delete your account and all your data in the app under Profile > Delete Account. See also Delete your account and data on the support page.
Security
- All data is encrypted in transit with TLS/SSL on the Firebase infrastructure.
- Data is stored in Google's secure data centers.
Your rights
- Data access: all your Spiralday data can be viewed inside the app.
- Data deletion: delete your account and all data under Profile > Delete Account.
- Data portability: your data is stored in a structured format.
- Ad personalization: turn off ad tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising, or in Android settings.

Children's privacy
The app is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
Changes
When this policy is updated, we notify you inside the app.
